Twitter Misled U.S. Regulators on Hackers, Spam, Whistleblower Says

Twitter deceived government controllers about its guards against programmers and spam accounts.

The web-based entertainment organization's previous security boss Peiter Zatko said in a whistleblower revelation.

Zatko, a renowned hacker himself, well known as "Mudge," claimed Twitter erroneously guaranteed it had a strong security plan.

Following this revelation by Mr. Zatko, Twitter's stocks fell 7.3% to close at $39.86 giving the tech major a firm financial blow.

The report affirms Twitter focused on client development over diminishing spam. Twitter termed the protest a "false narrative."

The social media giant has been facing Elon Musk in court after the world's most wealthy individual endeavored to pull out of a $44-billion arrangement to purchase Twitter.

Musk said Twitter had neglected to give insights regarding the pervasiveness of bot and spam accounts.
