SpaceX’s Starlink Mission Launches Satellites in Sixth Attempt
SpaceX finally launched 54 Starling satellites into the orbit using its Falcon 9 rocket after frustrating delays caused by the weather.
The satellites were launched from Cape Canaveral on Sunday. Starling plans to accomplish more than 60 such missions in 2022.
The Falcon 9 rocket which is about 60 meters in length shot up in the sky around 8.18 at night to kickstart 4-34 mission of Starlink.
The Falcon 9 was fuel-equipped with 9 kerosene-based Merlin 1D engines which pushed the powerful rocket northeast in the night sky.
A lot of effort has gone into this particular rocket launch as it was delayed for 5 days due to unsupportive weather conditions for a space operation.
This was SpaceX’s 42nd flight this year and the next one is scheduled for Sept 19 but may be delayed due to the ripple effect of the recent delay.
