Are Only Lightning strikes fueling wildfires in Florida?

Wildfires are keeping firefighters in Florida occupied and dry circumstances aren't the main thing fueling the blazes.

According to the Florida Forest Service Public Information Officer Miguel Nevarez, Glades, Highlands, Indian River, Martin, Okeechobee and Saint Lucie counties combined...

had more wildfires and more sections of land consumed from the outset of this current year up until the present time than they had for the whole year of 2021.

Firefighters spent piece of Friday knocking down a 50-section of land fierce blaze on the Bluefield preserve in western St. Lucie County.

Forest Area Supervisor David Grubich accepts the fire might have been started by illegal berry pickers.

"We've seen very little to no rain, a forest authority said. "We've been seeing three, four, five or more wildfires each week."

Firefighters say this has been a record year for wildfires. Authorities are asking everybody to watch out.
