Scientists are acquainted with the system and thought there was a giant blue-white star, 25 times bigger than the Sun, in it.

Researchers also suspected a companion star orbiting with it but no light was coming from this friend of the main star.

This is when scientists came to the conclusion that this companion was a “hidden” black hole and it has mass multiple times more than the Sun.

This suspected black hole is a lot smaller and distant from its partner which means that it is unable to attract and swallow any gas.
