Life is a mixed bag full of surprises and uncertainties. Sometimes, we get to have pleasant and favorable experiences while on other occasions life can give us a really very hard time. Good times are to be appreciated, enjoyed and cherished while bad times, in the best scenario need to be fought well and in the worst case are required to be survived somehow.
But when bad times come, no knowledge, wisdom or experience comes handy. We have to play on merit by being in the moment completely. And to survive the spell of bad times, we need to gather all our strength, hope & positivity. But the biggest problem we face in doing this is hopelessness.
Hopelessness makes us believe that there is no light at the end of the tunnel. When we are in the middle of a storm, we feel that we have nothing to shield ourselves and that nobody can help or save us. But this is not the reality but just a passing thought, an illusion. We are quite capable of handling any situation or challenge. But the feeling of hopelessness is very strong and it almost feels real! If we can find our way past this feeling, we can emerge victorious as we have enough capability within ourself to do so. But the question is how do we fight such strong feelings of hopelessness?

The first thing we need to remember while fighting hopelessness in a situation is that hopelessness is just a name given to a negative feeling that we get. It’s neither a real thing nor is it something ultimate that cannot be surpassed. In fact, when we do manage to go past it, we will discover that it was actually trying to help us. The problem is that the moment this feeling occurs in our mind, we stop right there and take it as a given thing. We have to break this mental barrier. It’s the similar case where we think someone to be our biggest enemy until we find out that he or she is a friend who is just trying to help. So, how is hopelessness trying to help us?

When we are faced with a challenging situation, nothing feels or comes useful. Nothing! It doesn’t matter how much we have thought about it, prepared for it or practiced for it, we will feel absolutely helpless. We will feel that we have to fight the challenge completely on our own without any kind of outside help or support. This feeling makes us feel totally lonely, empty & hopeless. It makes us feel that we cannot win no matter how hard we try. But the silver-lining is that this feeling comes for a positive reason.
To fight a war, either our practice & preparation have been well-internalized by us or they haven’t been absorbed by us satisfactorily. The well-internalized part of the preparation becomes a part of us but the things which haven’t been internalized remain out of our grasp and hence out of our access during the battle. In the battlefield, we should not try to use things that we haven’t fully internalized. What we feel as hopelessness is just a feeling trying to ensure that we don’t try to take the support of something that we haven’t internalized well because we would not be able to do or use that thing and will only waste our time & put ourselves in danger by trying in vain. The so-called feeling of hopelessness just wants us to become self-reliant completely & use only what we have fully internalized into our skill-sets. It wants us to fight on merit of the situation without trying to do anything fancy or silly. It wants us to be fully in the moment so that we are fully conscious and at our 100%. It just wants to bring out our best to ensure that we win.
But we misunderstand this feeling, get scared by it and ‘betray’ it. And when we do that, we are trapped in a place where we have to fight the challenging situation at our sub-par strength & potential! So, what we need to do is to remove this barrier & trap of hopelessness from our mind so that we are able to reach and fight any challenge at our full strength.

How do we break this mental barrier called hopelessness? Now, we already know that this feeling of Hopelessness is not against us but is trying to help us. So, the first thing we need to do while facing a tough situation is not to get crippled by the thought of loneliness or hopelessness. We have to cement this in our mind that any feeling of hopelessness is trying to lead us to the point of our true strength. And that we don’t have to take it as something negative & ultimate. Once this door is unlocked, we will notice a new rush of energy soaring through our mind and body. Now, we are empowered with a powerful truth by busting the myth of hopelessness in your mind.
The next thing that we have to remember is not look for any support or seek an end to our struggle & striving. When we look for an outside help or escape from our problems, we are sub-consciously but inevitably giving up some of our focus and strength to deal with the situation at hand. So, we have to know that whatever the problem and whatever it takes, we will give it our full effort. Of course, there will be people who are our family and friends who will volunteer and help us but our focus should not be on their help but only on what we can do for ourself. We have to fight as if we have to solve the situation single-handedly. Doing this will increase our strength & resilience to the highest possible level. This is how we are untangling & unravelling our potential to reach your true potential.
Now, we don’t have to do anything different. We just have to continue our fight in the same manner and take it to wherever it goes. In the end we will definitely come out triumphant because those who don’t give up are bound to succeed. And even if we don’t, we already know that we have definitely grown leaps & bounds in terms of our mental strength and our potential to stand & fight any circumstance. This itself is a victory!
What we have ultimately done here is to break the barriers of hopelessness to reach a space where we are strong, resilient and not only full of hope & positivity but also at our strongest possible mental state. To sum-up, we are ready to face and emerge victorious out of any challenge and that too completely on our own!
Conclusion : Negativity is An Opportunity To Be Positive
Hopelessness is not something real but a completely mental phenomena. It is a mental barrier that only we can break. We just have to remember that there is nothing in this world that is totally negative or completely against us. If we are a little courageous, we can use anything or any situation to our benefit. We just have to mentally engineer the situation in our minds in our favor and we will become able to solve any situation very easily using hope and positivity! And in this process of breaking the cycles of hopelessness, we will also grow bigger & more powerful which will finally make us able to attain our true potential in life!
